Commitment & Cost
The program will be approximately 100-150 hours of class time instruction,
offered over a 2 year period as a combination of 3 hour capsules &
weekend workshops. Students should also plan on being enrolled in
an ongoing weekly class with an established program & teacher.
In the cases where this is not possible, options for interim learning
and review can be discussed. Students must develop a steady home practice
for their own benefit and integrity. If under the current instruction
of a teacher other than Kimberly Ivy or Embrace The Moon instructors,
participants should discuss with their teacher their intent to participate
in this program. Inquires are welcome.
The
estimated instruction billing rate will range from $20-$30 per hour
depending on instructor. Other supplies such as books, travel, food
and lodging will be at participant’s expense.

Who Should Participate?
Anyone, regardless of age or fitness level may consider participating
in this program. At the same time the primary motive should be first
one’s own self-development and interest. If one is considering
teaching Taijiquan and Qigong for a living, one must be very clear
that this program is designed to highlight teaching as a service and
among those fields considered helping professions. To that end ones
own financial gain should not be a primary motivating factor. Whereas
there is no guarantee of professional success as we understand it
in the 21st century, there is a tremendous potential for contributing
in a very positive way to other people, to truly make the world a
better place, and to have a rich and fulfilling experience along the
way. We offer this program in that spirit and welcome all with this
idea in their heart.
Can
non-teachers participate?
There will be many topics available for those who are not interested
in teaching yet who may find the individual topics useful for their
own personal development.
